I have a question about kitchen cabinets where I would have given you advice on:
What scratch resistance concerned, I can tell you that with laminated chipboard will be much less sensitive, drawback is that it is impossible to recover. On paint (even powder) will make you faster scratches.

After the explanation of the different vendors I thought myself that MDF was the 'better' option, because with chipboard always seams continues to see and in our old kitchen come here and there loose, there hung a few doors askew, Now yes, the kitchen is 30 years old
With a small toddler on wheels in house seems chipboard with laminate still better (read crashworthy) choice for us, this kitchen would be installed by a local joiner / kitchen farmer with good hinges (blum) and so, better quality, probably and expensive, especially
